I'm glad that the man didn't leave her behind and came back finally to find her. I'm glad that it was she not he who eventually withdrawn from that "disgraceful" elopement.

Her mother once told her that "Affection is desirable. (While)Money is indispensable." Against the formidable warning, she would not marry some man she had no affection for, nor would she if there was love within that relationship under given circumstances.
Love is intricate once there is life involved.

I see the eternal light in the eyes of couples who are forever parted from each other by irony destiny and sense their forgiveness for what life has brought to them. Take it, swallow it, and accept it.
Novels will always be novels, no matter how truely accurate they stay to life. Once life is put down into words, it is decorated and beautified by an unconscious goodwill from author. But life itself does not change in this way. Darcy and Elizabeth lived happily ever after. Happy ending for every reader universally, however, not for Jane Austin and Tom Lefory.
When I saw the revealing of the ring he wore as he applauded, which is contrary to the slender bare hand of Jane, tears welled up my eyes silently.

Through the tears, I start to remember the blurry gleam of smiles flickering in their  eyes when  looking into each other's.

一说起我喜爱的中国明星，身边的朋友都一脸狐疑，稍带不屑和鄙夷。为什么？因为我脱口而出的是 “章子怡”。

其实我不是她的铁杆影迷——她的电影我就完整看过两部《英雄》《夜宴》，而且是因为刚好有赠票才去大老远跑到电影院去看的。而她的出道之作我是半途而废，因为临时有事没看完，回来也没想特意去再接着看。而让她红遍中国，走向国外的那部被称为很符合她性格的奥斯卡赢家大片我也只是断断续续看了片花而已。至于和两位大帅哥演的那部名字特别有杀机的古装片，我也不准备为它补课了。 再后来那部让日本人不服气，又让中国的所谓爱国人士批为“有损民族气节”的某美国人的回忆录，我本该在选修课上为它“挑挑刺”的，可终究希望落空——老师有事爽了约。总之，光这零散的观影纪录，我就不能自封为子怡的忠实fans，我想。的确，我真的不是什么要为她把父亲逼得去北京哪条河自尽，把自己逼成世人眼中的神经质的那种超级影迷； 也不是因着自己的偶像在某SHOW场中遭遇PK就急急忙忙地上街去拉票的那种幼稚粉丝。 但是我得承认自己是十分十分地欣赏章子怡的。
 
我佩服她的韧劲，说得不好听就成了某些人口中的清高与顽固。当初去hollywood，她真的是菜鸟一个。在国内也只是初露头角，在国外更是没人认识她这样嫩的丫头。在crouching tiger and hidden dragon中，主角是已在美国小有名气的杨紫琼和周润发，而她在剧中地位，我们从演员列表顺序上也能看出一二。可是演一个角色就要将一个角色做好，在她的眼里自己就是自己的主角，那飞檐走壁、那动刀使剑的镜头她全都自己上，冒着花容被损的危险，浑身被铁丝勒得青一块紫一块，顶着妈妈片场探班时怜爱的劝她放弃的话，她将固执的玉蛟龙呈现给了世界，也将自己固执的一面融在了角色中。如果少了这一份倔强，我真怀疑她能不能顶住那么多负面的评价，走到今天这一步。有媒体批评她只知道讨好美国人，不爱国，为什么只接外国片。演员接片真的有必要上升到民族情结的高度上吗？两极格局崩溃几十年了，全球化几十年了，改革开放几十年了，怎么有些人脑子还转不过弯来呢？这算拼个什么劲？演员接片首要考虑的当然是自己适不适合诠释这片子，通过角色自己能给观众带来什么， 自己又因此学到了什么丰富了什么？只要拍的片子不突破社会道德伦理的底线，演员的选择就是自由的。电影无国界，更没有狭隘的爱国情感。艺术从来都需要在交流中发芽开花的，不是吗？有阵子因为章子怡对所有媒体的冷言冷语采取冷处理，于是又有人出来说她“自命不凡，态度傲慢”。可是得先看看是谁伤谁在先，再做评论啊！我的数学老师对我们说，喜欢可能只是单向的，但讨厌惯来是双向的。放在平常，一个人老在别人那儿无事扇风，搬弄你的是非，你会去喜欢这个人吗？道理很简单。但是如果和这样的人对上了，正好满足了他的目的，又可以乘机说你小肚量没风度，于是矛盾越来越大。何必？如果澄清事实会这样麻烦，那干脆就不理不睬，整个人清净得做自己的事。小时侯就知道，一个爱说的人，你越答腔，他说得越兴奋；想让他闭嘴，不是提着他耳朵叫SHUT UP，反而应是不去理会他。自然而然，他也就自讨无趣，闭上大嘴了。对一个演员来说，这是聪明与自信的做法。而且她也没有借这些流言来炒作自己，扩大自己暴光率。 不知道为什么这样的行为也被歪曲为清高，自大？
 
我还佩服她学习的精神。大家都记得她的英文是很差的吧。估计她也是讨厌四六级的学生。但是语言对她很重要，重要的，她就花大力气学。现在她能为TIME百位最具影响力之一的ANG LEE写评论，能被邀请OSCAR做颁奖嘉宾，能在人生地不熟的国外一个人打拼、建立自己的事业与名气，我不能用不简单形容她，而是要说真不简单。这里付上她的习作：

Because of Ang Lee, so many more people know about Chinese filmmaking and about Chinese films. Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, a Chinese-language movie, mesmerized Western audiences in 2000. And last year, with Brokeback Mountain, yet another unimaginable success, both with critics and audiences, he captivated the entire world and reached the pinnacle of moviemaking.
Lee's ability to be such a huge cross-cultural influence is, I think, unique. His Taiwanese upbringing, which kept him deeply rooted in the Chinese way of being and living, combined with his well-informed understanding of Western mores and filmmaking techniques have allowed him to speak to those two worlds in a way no other director has.
It's as if when Lee, 51, makes a film, he is able to erase the cultural lines and have its profundity understood at a universal level. He creates characters that draw in an audience no matter what language they speak. His insight into the human heart crosses all boundaries.
I know he is also making a huge influence in the lives of younger filmmakers and actors. I, for one, will be forever indebted to him for casting me in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. When I went to audition for him, I had made just one film (The Road Home) and had never done any martial arts. I was 20 and didn't feel up to any of it. He still gave me that chance. Why? He saw what I could be capable of and was willing to let me have a go at it. How great is he?
I love that he never limits himself either. He's a good role model for all of us. Director Ang Lee lives in the future.

正如章子怡说的，“我的付出与努力又有多少人看见了呢？”人们喜欢看到小人物突然变成大人物的事迹，可是人们倾向于去相信，曾经小人物的她是生得逢时，是一个又一个好机会让她成功的，或许之所以会这样想，是因为大多数人都潜意识里都幻想有一天守株待兔的美事从天而降。但套用Oprah Winfrey的话“I feel that luck is preparation meeting opportunity. ”（我认为运气就是准备迎接机遇。）机会来了，她做好准备，伸手去抓了，而且抓牢了，于是她成功了。为什么人们不愿意承认从她身上看到对“一份耕耘，一份收获”的印证呢？
 
其实对某个明星的关注真的不需要那么多。她演得好，我去看；她演的不好，我也能自由的选择不看。这是自由的市场经济，等价交换，实在公平。总觉得对一个公众名人太多的关注，就是对普通人的漠视。名人们在生活中是普通人，我们也是普通人，这点是相通的。如果我们的生活充斥了这么多他们，他们在生活中时刻都要顾忌到还有我们在关注他们的一举一动，那么媒体不仅害苦了名人，也害苦了我们这些向来普通的人。
 
人们将巨人姚明，飞人刘翔捧上天，把张艺谋视为国宝导演，将小丁奉为桌球神童（在他输球时又毫不客气的暗示他受教育少所以素质低，在高雅的桌球项目中是例外的神童 :( ），宽容了浪子回头的大致，容忍了谢霆锋撞人不作牢，淡忘了刘晓庆偷税受轻罚，赞同了大学教授演讲出书品三国…人们大概应该可以接受这个靠自己实力一步一步成功的小妮子了吧！ 

 

Ethan Hawke, an out-of-main-stream American actor,is not only an actor, but also a versatile poet and writer. He and his wife both stared in the sci-fic movie "Gattaca", together with the English acter Jude Law. Everything in the movie takes on a cooly yellowish color, which gives me an illusion that the world is forever at dusk-- time there is standing still, expecting no future and  no past to be reviewed. I can smell isolation and indifference in the atmosphere. I watched it twice on end late into dead dark. I was obsessed with the flooding feeling of  sentiment absorded in the characters of the film, especially in the eyes of Ethan and Jude. One is imperfect because he is a GodChild but struggled to achieve the mission impossible, while the other is so-called perfect man even though he is almost just a dead and arrogant heart within a desperate body.  Ethan's enthusiam sparkled Jude's prospect for life. However, the hope didn't last long for it's inevitable to fail to see that from the very beginning of the identity exchange, it's a one-way journey and somebody was destined to sacrifice his own life for the other's freedom. Jude chose to die alone with his honor and burden of being perfect. Maybe it is going home for him to the indefinite and endless cosmos.

 

 

I  will never forget the scene on the beach  when Vincent rubbed harshly his body with pebbles as if his was a dirty creature, full of regret and sin... He is far more intrepid  than anyone else in that world. He has dreams, he has love, he has humanity.
