    GLADIATOR

The assistant of  General Maximos said "Sometimes I do what I have to do, while the rest of time I do what I have to do."
Responsibility seems the major part of our life. The General had been away from home for nearly three years. He fought for his country's people, fought for his country's glory, and to some extent, for  himself too. He did have won his men and the people at large. He took his life to fulfill his words, and kept his loyalty to his wife and son and also the father-like king. He was nothing but a brave and elegant man--strong-minded and capable. It was his duty to lead the country into a better state. Though he longed to return after the war to be with his family, he could not unload his duty completely off his heart. Maximos was a born general, and he was born to take on the great task. It was fateful.
But after all, it is just a hero-movie of Hollywood's typical characteristics. The author made up such a perfect leader and assigned him a lot of responsibilities so that he could become a national hero and be honoured by the whole nation after his death. Well, what if it happened in the real life, would the story go like this?  I feel worried about the hero's critical choice. If he's tired of the conflicts and really doesn't want to fight any more, if his enemy has huge power and lots people share the same interests with his enemy, or some of the hero's men betryed him... I don't think I know the results for sure then.
It is great duty, but will we be brave and strong enough to put it on our shoulder? It is all very smooth and doubtless in the virtual world, however, how will it turn out in our real life?
